Luca Pisaroni returns to Vienna this month in one of his signature roles, at the historic Vienna State Opera. He sings Count Almaviva in Mozart’s energetic and masterful Le Nozze di Figaro with Anita Hartig as Susanna, Olga Bezsmertna as Countess Almaviva, Rachel Frenkel as Cherubino, and Adam Plachetka in the title role. Viennese conductor Sascha Goetzel leads the performances on November 16, 19, 22 & 25.

In December, Mr. Pisaroni heads to Munich’s Bayerische Staatsoper for Figaro, this time in the title role. Ms. Hartig sings Susanna in this production as well, with Véronique Gens as the Countess, Gerald Finley as the Count, and Angela Brower as Cherubino. Renowned conductor Ivor Bolton leads from the pit for this fresh and vibrant production. Performances take place December 8 12, 15 & 17

Luca sings Figaro again later this season, in two Gala performances next summer on July 16 & 19 in Baden-Baden. The star-studded cast includes Diana Damrau as Countess Almaviva, Bryn Terfel as the Count, Angela Brower as Cherubino, Anne Sofie von Otter as Marcellina, and Rolando Villazón as Basilio, with Maestro Yannick Nézet-Séguin, the Vocalensemble Rastatt, and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe. The performances will also be recorded for future release on the Deutsche Grammophon label.
