Luca Pisaroni returns to the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden this month, in the title role of Mozart’s ever-popular masterwork Le Nozze di Figaro. Luca has received outstanding critical acclaim for his signature portrayal of Figaro, most recently at the Bayerische Staatsoper.

The Baden-Baden concert presentations of Figaro take place July 16 & 19, and feature a remarkable cast including Thomas Hampson (Pisaroni’s father-in-law) as Count Almaviva, Christiane Karg as Susanna, Rolando Villazón as Don Basilio, Anne Sofie von Otter as Marcellina, and Angela Brower as Cherubino, with Yannick Nézet-Séguin leading the Chamber orchestra of Europe and Vocalensemble Rastatt. The performances are also being recorded for a future release on Deutsche Grammophon, part of a seven-piece Mozart cycle for the label initiated by Villazón and Nézet-Séguin. This recording will be Mr. Pisaroni’s second contribution to the series; his first was as Leporello in Don Giovanni, now available for purchase via Amazon and iTunes
