Italian bass baritone Luca Pisaroni and his father-in-law, World-renowned American baritone Thomas Hampson, have sung in some of the world’s most prestigious opera houses and concert halls, winning awards and accolades throughout their glittering careers. Both singers dropped by the France 24 studio to talk about returning to the Paris Opera in September; Thomas as Count Danilo (a signature role) in “The Merry Widow” and Luca as Golaud (role debut) in Débussy’s “Pelléas and Mélisande”.
