Luca Pisaroni is featured in concert this month at some of the European continent’s premiere venues, performing masterworks of the repertoire. He returns to Teatro alla Scala this spring (later returning in the summer for Fidelio) to sing orchestrated Schubert songs with Maestro Fabio Luisi and the Filarmonica della Scala on April 9. The varied programme, which also includes works by Webern and Schönberg, will be performed on the main stage of La Scala.

Pisaroni then joins the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, Collegium Vocale Gent, and soloists, under the baton of Philippe Herreweghe, for his first performances of the Verdi Requiem at the Muziekcentrum
De Bijloke (April 14) and deSingel (April 15). Additional soloists include soprano Eleanor Lyons, mezzo-soprano Gerhild Romberger, and tenor Mario Zeffiri.

On April 26 Mr. Pisaroni is the bass soloist for Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 at the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona. Daniele Gatti leads the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and Cor de Cambra del Palau de la Música i Orfeó Català for this concert, with soprano Marina Rebeka, mezzo-soprano Natascha Petrinsky, and tenor Torsten Kerl.
