‘No Tenors Allowed’ in Toronto and Santa FeScroll
This spring, Luca Pisaroni and Thomas Hampson bring their ‘No Tenors Allowed’ program to Toronto and Santa Fe. Beginning in Toronto at Koerner Hall on April 30, they will perform highlights from the operatic repertoire, greatest hits from Broadway musicals, and timeless classical and popular songs, accompanied by pianist Vlad Iftinca. Their second performance will take place on May 2 at the Lensic Performing Arts Center in Santa Fe.
Pisaroni and Hampson brought their NTA program to Boston in February, part of the Celebrity Series of Boston. Operawire acclaimed their brilliant performance saying: “This recital is one of those experiences that is not only tremendous entertainment, but also a great artistic display. All three artists showcased their fantastic showmanship but also incredible attention to detail and craft. This was a masterclass in gripping storytelling by artists that can create worlds out of the simplest means.”
