This month, Luca Pisaroni embarks on a concert tour of Handel’s Agrippina with Il Pomo d’Oro and conductor Maxim Emelyanychev through Europe. Based on the life of the mother of Roman emperor Nero, Luca stars as Claudio, sharing the stage with star mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato in the title role, as well as Elsa Benoit as Poppea, Xavier Sabata as Ottone, Franco Fagioli as Nerone, Andrea Mastroni as Pallante, and Carlo Vistoli singing Narciso.

 

Concert dates include May 14 at the Philharmonie Luxembourg, May 18 at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, and concluding on May 31 at the Barbican Centre. Following, Luca will sing Claudio at the Turku Music Festival on June 2, with Il Pomo d’Oro and a cast including Samantha Hankey as Agrippina, Franco Fagioli as Nerone, Elsa Benoit as Poppea, Xavier Sabata as Ottone, Andrea Mastroni as Pallante, Jakub Józef Orlinski as Narciso, and Biagio Pizzuti singing Lesbo.
