“No Tenors Allowed” at the Stiftskirche MillstattScroll
Luca Pisaroni and Thomas Hampson present their “No Tenors Allowed” concert at the Stiftskirche Millstatt this month. On August 18, accompanied by their longtime collaborator, pianist Christian Koch, the artists will perform arias from the operatic repertoire, Broadway musical hits, and classical and popular songs. In the 2019/20 season, Pisaroni and Hampson take their exuberant concert series to both Provo, Utah (October 1), and then to the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires (October 4).
Earlier this year, The Boston Classical Review raved about Pisaroni and Hampson’s “No Tenors Allowed” concert at Jordan Hall part of the Celebrity Series:
“With their rich, lyrical voices and acting abilities showcased by simple, effective staging, the duo transformed what looked to be a traditional recital into an attractive set of dramatic musical performances. Hampson and Pisaroni make a delightful pair.” (Boston Classical Review)
