Luca Pisaroni returns to Paris for two thrilling operatic favorites at the dazzling Palais Garnier: La Cenerentola and Le Nozze di Figaro. A favorite of Parisian audiences, he has made several appearances with the company throughout recent years.

Mr. Pisaroni will first perform the role of Alidoro in Gioachino Rossini’s La Cenerentola, a comedic opera based on the classic fairytale of Cinderella. Joining Mr. Pisaroni on stage in this nuanced production by Guillaume Gallienne will include Gaëlle Arquez as Angelina, Dmitry Korchak as Don Ramiro, Vito Priante as Dandini, Carlo Lepore as Don Magnifico, Martina Russomanno as Clorinda and Marine Chagnon as Tisbe. Led by conductor Diego Matheuz, these performances will take place on September 10, 14, 17, 25, 27, 29, October 3, 5, 7 and 9.

Later in the year, Mr. Pisaroni will reprise his signature role with the company as the titular character in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro. Netia Jones’ production, which was premiered earlier in the year and starred Mr. Pisaroni, utilizes the idea of “a theater within a theater”; it places the story in the Palais Garnier’s backstage area which assists with blurring the line between fact and fiction. Under the baton of Louis Langrée, the world-renowned cast will also feature Gerald Finley as Count Almaviva, Miah Persson as Countess Almaviva, Jeanine De Bique as Susanna, Rachel Frenkel as Cherubino, Sophie Koch as Marcellina, James Creswell as Bartolo, Éric Huchet as Don Basilio, Christophe Mortagne as Don Curzio, Ilanah Lobel-Torres as Barbarina and Franck Leguérinel as Antonio. The opera will be presented on November 23, 25, 27, 30, December 7, 11, 13, 16, 19, 22, 25 and 28.
