Luca Pisaroni returns to Vienna’s Burgtheater this summer, to perform at the annual Life Ball Red Ribbon Celebration Concert. The theme for this year’s gala event is ‘Orpheus and Eurydice,’ and the musical programme features excerpts from Monteverdi’s and Gluck’s operas about Orpheus, along with works by Mozart, Liszt, and more, as well as writings and other selections. Proceeds from this spectacular evening, which takes place on June 10, will be donated in support of international HIV/AIDS projects. The concert features some of the world’s most acclaimed artists, including Thomas Hampson, Marina Rebeka, Juan Diego Flórez, Yusif Eyvazov, Dianne Warwick, and more. Martin Haselböck conducts the Orchester Wiener Akademie for this not-to-be-missed evening of art, drama, and music. Tickets and additional information are available via the Burgtheater online.

A statement from Gery Keszler, CEO Life Ball/Chairman AIDS LIFE: “I am honored that so many of these exceptionally gifted artists support the concert for many years now. All of them contribute that Life Ball’s message is being spread among friends of classical music and theater.”
