Mustafà in ‘L’Italiana in Algeri’ at Gran Teatre del Liceu
ScrollMarking 36 years since L’Italiana in Algeri was last seen at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Luca Pisaroni makes his house debut as Mustafà in Rossini’s 18th-century opera buffa. Crafted by the composer when he was only 21 years old, Vittorio Borrelli’s production brings the imaginative spirit prominent in Rossini’s sparkling score with Riccardo Frizza at the podium.
Performing on December 13, 15, 18 & 21, Pisaroni stars alongside Sara Blanch as Elvira, Lidia Vinyes-Curtis is Zulma, Toni Marsol is Haly, Maxim Mironov is Lindoro, Varduhi Abrahamyan is Isabella, and Giorgio Caoduro sings Taddeo. The production features set design by Claudia Boasso and costumes by Santuzza Calì. More information and tickets are available via Gran Teatre del Liceu.
